Championship Golf
The Douglas Golf and Country Club is
located on 175 acres of rolling pineland astride
the Seventeen Mile River in
Douglas, Georgia. It is the outdoor and social activities
center for many area
families. The
Club facilities include a challenging 18-hole
championship golf course. Our
course is professionally maintained by a full time
staff and is one of the
finest in Southeast Georgia.
Throughout the Year, we are home to many tournaments including the
Junior
Magnolia, the Iceberg, the Evelyn Stubbs Invitational and many more.
Men’s Golf Association
The MGA meets on a quarterly basis. The MGA oversees most of the golfing
activities of
the Club such as Nassau and tournaments. The MGA provides
financial and coaching support
for junior golfers. Its monthly meetings are an
occasion for good fellowship for all men of the
Club. Its membership is not
limited to golfers alone.
Ladies Country Club Association
The LCCA meets the third Wednesday of each month for lunch, meeting, and Bridge.
The LCCA also directs the ladies’ golf activities. The highlight of their year
is the annual
Evelyn Stubbs Invitational
Tournament held in the Fall.
Youth Golf Activities
We offer an organized summer program for juniors. Learning clinics and
tournaments are
provided along with other suitable activities for the different
age groups of boys and girls ages
five and up. With your
membership, children 18 & under play golf at no additional charge, however,
cart
fees apply.
