Pool Rules

The pool and pavilion area is intended for the enjoyment of its members and their guests.  The pool attendants and lifeguards are authorized to enforce the pool rules at all times. At their discretion, they may remove from the premises any person they believe to be jeopardizing the safety and enjoyment of others. 

Please register pool guests with staff when arriving.  The guest fee is $10 per person per day.

Smoking is not allowed in the pool area.

No pets are allowed in the pool area.

Appropriate pool attire is required while visiting the pool. 

Ball throwing, running, pushing, shouting, amplified noise and other disorderly conduct is prohibited at all times.

No glass containers of any kind will be allowed inside the pool area.

No outside food allowed in the pool area during our grill hours.  

All food must be consumed in the designated food service areas.

All children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers. Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water.  Immediately report any "accidents" you observe in the bathing waters to a lifeguard.

Please adhere to the pool party policy supplied by the Board of Directors. 
Parties should be scheduled in advance with management. 

Please use the restrooms provided at the Pavilion during your pool visit.

Please discuss any concerns with pool manager or a lifeguard.

The Douglas Golf and Country Club is located on 175 acres of rolling pineland astride the Seventeen Mile River in Douglas, Georgia. It is the outdoor and social activities center for many area families. 

The Club facilities include a challenging 18-hole championship golf course, clubhouse, restaurant, lounge, swimming pool, and tennis courts providing a complete country club experience for all ages.  We are the only full service, private club in the area providing a full array of activities for both young and old.

The Pool
The Club’s brand new, full size pool has separate lap and diving areas.  Small children can enjoy a second shallow wading pool and active water feature.  The pool is staffed with lifeguards during the summer season and pool goers have the added convenience of the Pavilion. The Pavilion offers snacks, candy and cold drinks during the pool season. 

A large shaded deck is located adjacent to both pools and offers a scenic view of the golf course.  The Pool officially opens Memorial Day.
 

Tennis 
The Club tennis facilities include two lighted tennis courts. The courts, located near the pool area, are a great place for meeting friends for a match or taking a lesson. During the summer, the Club offers tennis clinics for the youth. Lessons are available for both youth and adults through private instruction.

 
 Walking & Jogging Trails  
The cart paths, when followed, are five miles long - a great way to exercise in a beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Wildlife such as deer, fox squirrels, otter, hawks and many other birds may be seen as you traverse this path.


Fishing  
The Club has a four acre pond. The Seventeen Mile River flows through the center of the Club property and has good fishing as well.
